Our executive team has come from some of the most successful companies in the industry and has developed solutions for hundreds of healthcare organisations, including many of the largest and most prestigious in Australia.
Managing Director Australia
As the Managing Director for Australia, Scott provides strategic leadership for the Australian operations and is responsible for delivering profitable growth through partnering with existing clients to broaden our service offering through to new client acquisition.
Scott has extensive experience in financial management and business development to assist organisations through periods of change. He brings a strong focus on aligning culture with strategy to achieve strong and enduring revenue and profit growth.
Prior to joining iMedX, Scott was Managing Director Australian and New Zealand for The Warranty Group – a private equity-backed, US-Headquartered, global provider of warranty and insurance solutions. He has held a number of senior Leadership and Finance Roles in service organisations working in Australia, New Zealand, and England.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Victoria University of Wellington and is a Chartered Accountant.
Client Services & Sales Manager Australia
Alex oversees sales and service implementations for enterprise and private clients across Australia.
Alex has extensive experience in Transcription and Healthcare allowing him to tailor workflows and implementations that exceed client expectations. He has a passion for delivering innovative solutions that result in cost savings and productivity gains for his clients that improve their delivery of patient care.
Alex joined OzeScribe in 2012 after living and studying in Germany, and has a Bachelor of Technology from Swinburne University, Victoria.
Operations Manager, iMedX Australia
In this role Lisette is responsible for ensuring that the company has the appropriate level of resources to exceed the expectations of our clients in the completion of their dictated medical files, including:
- Recruitment, training and onboarding of new medical transcriptionists
- Efficient and effective workflow planning and implementation
Lisette has an undergraduate degree in Applied Science (Medical Record Administration) and has worked for over 20 years in a range of public health organisations and programs. This includes large public hospitals, a health software company and population health registries. Lisette recently held the position of Vaccination Operations Manager, National HPV Vaccination Program Register (operated by VCS Ltd on behalf of the Commonwealth Department of Health) where she was responsible for the day to day management of the NHVPR including the telephone information service, data entry and processing and the maintenance, development and reporting of NHVPR data and information. Lisette has worked closely with key vaccination service providers and stakeholders at organisational, state and national levels to implement large scale systems and processes, including facilitating change management initiatives, to support ongoing service delivery and future objectives.
Lisette is committed to working with clients and stakeholders to deliver high quality and timely medical transcription services that exceed current and future company and client requirements.
Director of Revenue Cycle Management
As Director of Revenue Cycle Management, Karen Dawson oversees management and business development of Coding Services for iMedX.
Karen Dawson has 30 years experience as a Health Information Manager, including management of Health Information Services, incorporating Coding Services, and implementing Doctor/speciality liaison programs to ensure accurate information capture for casemix funding/activity based funding models. She owned her own business for 17 years, commencing the first independent revenue cycle/coding audits/health fund contract compliance audits for private hospitals. Her major interest and passion is to provide Hospitals with the very best Coders and Auditors, and to complete every job to the highest standard. She has a particular interest in helping to improve timelines and processes for the revenue cycle/admission to cash process.
In addition to Health Information Management qualifications, Karen has a Bachelor of Health Administration from the UNSW and a Grad. Dip. in Industrial Relations/Human Resource Management.
Operations Manager Clinical Coding Services
As Operations Manager of iMedX Australia’s Clinical Coding Services, Sonia is responsible for managing the timely and accurate delivery of our services across Australia and New Zealand. Sonia ensures all client Coding work is seamlessly delivered without interruption, manages the onboarding of new Clinical Coders, and assist with Clinician and Coder Education. Sonia has 25 years of experience as a Health Information Manager and 19 years as Manager of Health Information Services departments in both public and private health settings. Some of her achievements include implementation of a scanned medical record, adoption of a single UR number system across multiple campuses and introduction of permanent destruction of scanned medical records.
Sonia joined iMedX Australia in 2019 and is committed to assisting clients to achieve optimal outcome for their coding and auditing key performance indicators.
Integration and IT Manager
Emir manages all IT related infrastructure, systems and client integration projects in Australia. Since joining iMedX in 2009, Emir has overseen the implementation of various system integrations clinical systems such as iPM, WebPas, Infomedix, Cerner and EPIC. Emir has also been instrumental in the configuration of iMedX managed service secure messaging workflows for Telstra Health, ReferralNet, Medical Objects and HealthLink.
Emir is highly responsive to client requests, and passionate about delivering resolutions to clients efficiently. He has a Bachelor of Computer Science from Victoria University, Victoria.
Implementation and Support Manager
Bringing over 20 years of multi-industry expertise to OzeScribe, Brett oversees implementations and ongoing support for enterprise and private clients, and has been with iMedX since 2016.
Brett is passionate about providing the highest level of service to clients during and after implementation.
As Finance Manager, Carmel oversees and performs all end to end functions of the finance department for iMedX Australia. Carmel joined iMedX in 2016 with a view to streamlining processes and improving client billing workflows. Since joining iMedX, Carmel has implemented a number of improved reporting processes, ensuring that month end closes within 4 days of EOM. Carmel has a high attention to detail, and is extremely passionate about accuracy in all internal and external financial reporting, taking pride in delivering such information to clients and management in a timely manner.
Carmel has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Swinburne University and is a Certified Practicing Account (CPA)
