Our course includes focused training in three basic skill requirements - keyboarding, grammar and punctuation, and medical terminology. Most importantly, our course will provide you with extensive "hands-on" practice to give you the experience you need to help you get hired. Students have up to one year to complete the course and you study in the privacy of your own home. And everything is included. All that you require is a computer and internet access. We supply the rest! Upon completion and passing of the final exam, all students will also receive certificates from both Ozescribe Career Centre and Career Step.

Course Schedule

To enrol you must have a high school diploma or mature student status (you are at least 19 years old upon enrolment) and a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm. The course takes approximately 725 hours to complete for those who have no medical terminology or anatomy knowledge or experience. The average completion time is nine months. This can be accomplished by studying 20 hours a week. Through conscientious transcription of the medical reports in the course, you will become fully qualified to work as a professional medical transcriptionist. The official enrolment period is one year. Extensions are offered in three-month increments for $100 each extension.
